About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Engineer to join our team at Twilio. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for evolving and maturing our enterprise security posture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with Business Units: Collaborate with various business units to enhance security across the enterprise, ensuring that our security practices align with industry best practices.
  • Mature the Security Team: Work with the security team to improve processes, capabilities, and overall maturity, ensuring that we are well-equipped to handle complex security challenges.
  • Perform Threat Modeling and Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough threat modeling, architectural reviews, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks, influencing security best practices across enterprise solutions.
  • Develop Security Standards and Guidelines: Create and maintain security standards, guidelines, and policies to ensure that our security practices are consistent and effective.
  • Lead Large Projects: Lead large-scale security projects from start to finish, bringing industry best practices to solve complex security problems and drive business value.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the information security space, with a strong background in enterprise security and security engineering.
  • Enterprise Security Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise security/security engineering teams, implementing and improving enterprise security platforms.
  • OS and Endpoint Security: Experience working with operating systems and endpoint security, ensuring that our security practices are effective and efficient.
  • Threat Modeling and Architectural Reviews: Experience performing threat modeling and architectural reviews, identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
  • Log and Telemetry Analysis: Experience collecting and analyzing logs and other telemetry data to identify security threats and improve our security posture.
  • Security Expertise: Capable subject matter expert on security issues and technologies, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cloud-Based IAM Solutions: Experience designing and implementing security best practices in cloud-based IAM solutions, ensuring that our security practices are effective and efficient.
  • Zero Trust Architecture: Experience with designing and implementing Zero Trust architecture and solutions, ensuring that our security practices are aligned with industry best practices.
  • SaaS Application Security: Experience with SaaS application security, including assessing risks and driving improvements, to ensure that our security practices are effective and efficient.
Location and Travel

This role will be remote, with the option to work from British Columbia, Ontario, or Alberta. Occasional travel may be required to participate in project or team in-person meetings.
