Position Summary:

We are seeking an Enterprise Server & Storage Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role involves the strategic planning, execution, management, and oversight of secure and resilient server, data storage, backup, and virtualization environments, encompassing both on-premise and cloud-based technologies. The team plays a vital role in supporting Windows and Linux server ecosystems, along with infrastructure systems utilizing Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, and Dell platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support enterprise applications based on Microsoft and/or Linux systems.
  • Become a subject matter expert in Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies, as well as Windows, Linux, virtualization, storage, and backup solutions. You will have the opportunity to develop specialized skills while broadening your knowledge base.
  • Ensure the reliability, stability, resilience, and security of server and storage infrastructure, focusing on continuous improvement and enhancements.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve complex infrastructure issues, collaborating closely with clients and vendors. Engage vendors as necessary to expedite solutions.
  • Develop methods to streamline and automate the deployment, installation, and management of supported systems.
  • Enhance system security by implementing industry best practices for patching and hardening.
  • Contribute ideas and insights into the planning and execution of technical solutions for new technology deployments and corporate initiatives.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and project documentation.
  • Participate in on-call support (24/7) on a rotational basis.
  • Complete a personnel security screening and obtain necessary security clearance.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise IT setting.
  • Prior experience with Azure technologies; familiarity with multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation; experience with Ansible is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Active Directory and Windows server technologies.
    • Microsoft Exchange and Teams.
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL); equivalent experience will be considered.
    • VMware vSphere.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot intricate issues.
  • A genuine interest in technology with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and effective in planning, organization, and time management.
