Job Summary:
The Sandy Hill Community Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reception services, including answering phones, greeting clients, and handling correspondence
- Manage medical records, including updating patient information and maintaining confidentiality
- Assist with scheduling appointments, preparing medical records, and performing other administrative tasks
- Work effectively in a team environment, providing support to healthcare professionals and other staff members
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- High school graduation diploma or equivalent
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Advanced proficiency in French (oral expression, oral comprehension, and reading comprehension)
- Minimum two years secretarial or clerical experience in a medical environment
- Experience working with electronic medical records
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work under stress with multiple demands and unpredictable days
Working Conditions:
Hours of work will be developed in collaboration with the successful candidate to ensure a healthy work-life balance. A schedule of work will be based on the Centre's hours of operation and program requirements and may include some evenings.
