Medical Assistant Role at Appletree Medical Group

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Appletree Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering world-class medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register patients administratively, including reception, scheduling, and collecting payments.
  • Prepare patients clinically, including hosting patients in the exam room and performing triage.
  • Apply scripts, scenarios, and clinical skills as required.
  • Utilize our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR Advantage) effectively.
  • Maintain inventory levels by stocking exam rooms and other areas of the clinic.
  • Ensure a clean and quiet environment by cleaning/sanitizing exam rooms, foyers, and bathrooms.
  • Perform opening and/or closing procedures of the clinic.
  • Manage records and documents, as well as other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Reside in Ontario.
  • Be permanently eligible to work in Canada or possess a valid Work Permit.
  • Be able to work on your feet all day, moving around the clinic to perform various tasks.
  • Have 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Have excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in other languages an asset.
  • Be committed, reliable, and flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Be willing to work at multiple clinic/office locations within the region.
