Job Summary:

Position: Payroll Manager

Location: Remote

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year (depending on experience)

Industry: Financial Services / Human Resources / Commercial

Employment Term: Full-time / Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of payroll, including day-to-day operations, process standardization, and management.
  • Utilize Ceridian Dayforce HCM and ADP WFN to manage payroll activities across Canada.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-taxable wages.
  • Prepare year-end employee tax slips or forms and submit government filings to meet deadlines.
  • Identify areas of improvement within the payroll process and lead the implementation of new payroll processes and systems.
  • Lead a team of payroll administrators, including delegating, reviewing work, training, and coaching.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of employee records by adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism to safeguard employee privacy.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of payroll management experience
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and Provincial and Federal Tax Regulations
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is preferred
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HCM and ADP WFN
  • Advanced understanding and experience in accounting principles, practices, and general ledgers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, mathematical, and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable to changing work demands and deadlines
