Position Overview
  • 5-12 years of experience in EPCM for oil and gas projects.
  • Experience in gas plant design is a plus.
  • Successfully execute mechanical engineering tasks and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with various engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design.
  • Engage with clients, project teams, and vendors to clarify project scope and address technical challenges.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary for mechanical tasks.
  • Select appropriate equipment, materials, and process systems.
  • Review vendor equipment drawings for precision and compliance.
  • Specify, assess, and choose oil and gas processing equipment.
  • Contribute to the development of P&ID and Line Designation Tables.
  • Participate in the design of pipelines, pressure piping, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers.
  • Develop and review mechanical drawings.
  • Prepare engineering scope of work packages and collaborate with vendors for equipment procurement.
  • Ensure adherence to codes and specifications.
  • Proficient in various codes related to pressure vessel design, piping, and more.
  • Familiarity with NACE standards is advantageous.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must possess experience in package engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Preferred experience in conventional oil, heavy oil, SAGD, and sweet and sour gas projects.
  • Familiarity with CAESAR II Stress Analysis Software is beneficial.
  • Knowledgeable in the specification and procurement of mechanical equipment and packages.
Educational Background
  • Must hold an APEGA P. Eng. - Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, with a preference for EPCM background.
  • Experience in equipment package engineering is essential.
  • Strong understanding of static and rotating equipment design.
  • Experience with piping and pipeline stress analysis.
  • Knowledge of industrial codes such as CSA, ASME, and API.
