About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Mechanical Package Engineer to work on a wide range of oil and gas projects, including sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, and heavy oil facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical packages, including equipment selection, specification, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical packages for oil and gas projects, including equipment selection, specification, and procurement.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines to ensure a coordinated design and engineering deliverables are completed.
- Lead client/vendor/contractor meetings and field trips to client sites as required.
- Size and select equipment, materials, and process systems, and check vendor equipment drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Contribute to P&ID and Line Designation Table development, and provide comprehensive design services by supporting the establishment of design criteria and the preparation of specifications, design computations, drawings, models, and bills of material.
- Prepare engineering scope of work packages and work with vendors to supply mechanical equipment, and ensure consistency and integrity of all major equipment in accordance with all codes and specifications.
- APEGA P. Eng. - Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Minimum 5 years oil and gas experience - EPCM background preferred.
- Equipment Package Engineering is a must have.
- Excellent working knowledge of Static and Rotating Equipment Design.
- Experience with piping and pipelines Stress Analysis.
- Must be familiar with ABSA and AEUB regulatory requirements.
- Applicable knowledge of industrial codes (CSA, ASME, API).
