Job Title: Capital PM

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Capital PM to lead the commissioning and start-up of process units and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commissioning and start-up, with experience in managing complex projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, edit, and approve the Commissioning and Handover Execution Plan.
  • Influence design engineering to facilitate commissioning and start-up.
  • Develop the turnover and start-up sequences and schedule.
  • Pre-qualify sub-contractors and compile commissioning scopes of work for contract tender requirements.
  • Review contract terms and conditions.
  • Attend and contribute to Commissioning sub-contract bid clarification & kick-off meetings.
  • Edit and assist with implementing the sites Safety Management System; delivering site safety and environmental compliance targets.
  • Review and approve the commissioning and start-up procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of site QA/QC Management Systems and oversee the population of the Completion management system (CMS).
  • Review and approve contractor's schedules and planning basis (norms).
  • Review accuracy of contractor progress statements.
  • Lead the Commissioning Readiness review.
  • Develop and manage the commissioning & start-up schedule and cost estimate.
  • Verify mechanical completion is in compliance with specifications.
  • Oversee the budgeted spend for training and vendor assistance.

Requirements:

  • Typically 10-15 years of experience.
  • Provides oversight to professional and/or lead staff.
  • Responsibilities may include several technical/functional areas.
  • Resolves complex problems.
  • Provides input to development of technical/functional strategies and ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives.
