About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex capital projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Coordinate and lead project teams, including external consultants and vendors, to achieve project objectives.
  • Project Coordination and Execution
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including project partners, vendors, and internal teams.
    • Ensure compliance with project methodologies, policies, and procedures.
  • Risk Management and Quality Assurance
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet organizational standards.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Develop and maintain effective communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, including project sponsors and senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as health services administration, computer information systems, or business administration.
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on capital projects and redevelopment.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Proven track record of successful project delivery, with a focus on capital projects and redevelopment.
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and execution.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
