Infrastructure Support Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Operations Supervisor. This role will be responsible for assisting with the identification and verification of required maintenance work, interpreting contracts, and ensuring that all aspects of the contract are coordinated and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Compliance: Ensure that all services provided are in compliance with approved performance standards.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Perform condition assessments of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation, and other contract requirements, and assist with scheduling and coordinating work to be performed.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork and ensure compliance with contract requirements, and develop and manage the performance of all patrol staff.
- Asset Management: Assist with managing, monitoring, and controlling highway project assets and materials, and identify opportunities for changes and improvements in work methods, processes, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Accurately and timely complete and enter work reporting and timesheets.
- Supply Management: Purchase supplies and maintain an inventory of all supplies within the assigned patrol area.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and track all required new hire training and ongoing required safety and work standard training.
- Fleet Maintenance: Assist with inspection, calibration, and repair of fleet.
- Incident Reporting: Investigate and report all accidents/incidents, and work with the Office Manager and Health and Safety Manager on all accident/incidents that result in WSIB claims.
- Scheduling and Compliance: Responsible for completing and updating schedules for winter staff to ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma (minimum), equivalent work experience will be taken into consideration.
- Experience: Minimum three years' work experience in the construction and/or road maintenance industry (preferred).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record (required).
Work Environment
The incumbent will split working time between office and field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
