  • Human Resources:

    • Develop and manage the organization's budget, ensuring effective financial planning and control.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure that the organization's internal policies and procedures are in place to support operational excellence and compliance with legislative, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
    • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the organization's operations or reputation.
  • Reporting and Governance:
    • Provide regular written and verbal reports to the Board of Directors, ensuring that they are fully informed of the organization's activities and progress.
    • Assist the Board and its committees in the development of Board-specific policies and the organization's strategic plan.
Requirements:
  • Education:
    • University degree in a related field (relevant postgraduate degree would be an asset).
  • Experience:
    • Sector experience in the field of developmental services, mental health, child services preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in program planning, development, and evaluation.
    • Ability to effectively relate to senior government and other officials.
    • Experience in budgeting and financial control and ability to apply this knowledge.
    • Experience, aptitude, and willingness to work with volunteer governance Board.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong computer literacy to manage the organization.
    • Demonstrated experience coordinating strategic and engagement-planning initiatives.
    • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
    • Sound understanding of risk management coupled with strong business acumen.
