Job Summary

Unified Valve Group Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shop Coordinator/Tester to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our shop floor team, you will be responsible for coordinating shop floor activities, including pricing and lead time, to ensure seamless customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain shop floor activities with the Shop Foreman to ensure workflow is coordinated and prioritized according to customer deadlines and requests.
  • Work directly with clients to ensure their service is being handled, explain available options, and maintain records of all services offered.
  • Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments for clients, answer phone calls, and track client service records.
  • Source parts, determine pricing, and provide lead time to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify non-conformance to UVG products, services, documents, and processes.
  • Follow all procurement procedures, including accurate and complete completion of purchase orders, timely receiving of goods in ERP, and weekly review of open purchase orders to avoid shipment delays.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in PRV/PSV.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of shop floor operations.
  • Technical certificate an asset.
  • Unified Technical Valve Training (training can be provided).
  • Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office skills required, experience with Great Plains and ValveTek an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop.
  • Clear reading and writing skills.
  • Adherence to Unified Valve Group Ltd.'s Safety Policies and Procedures.
