About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Care Assistant to join our team at Le Gîte du Bel Âge. As a Medical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with Mobility: Help residents with walking, transferring, and positioning.
  • Administer Medications: Assist with the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor Vital Signs: Take and record residents' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Assist with Hygiene: Help residents with toileting, incontinence care, and other hygiene-related tasks.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of well-being and dignity.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
