Job Posting: Human Resources Coordinator, Saint John, NB

Commissionaires NBPEI is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our head office in Saint John, NB. Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, the Human Resources Coordinator will undertake essential responsibilities related to Total Compensation, Benefits, Security Clearances, HR Technology, and Data Management, along with overall Employee Administration.

Position Type: Salaried

Benefits Offered: Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Benefits, along with Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment plans.

Working Hours: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday - 8am to 4pm, with occasional variations based on project needs.

The Human Resources Coordinator collaborates with various internal departments and key stakeholders to fulfill duties in support of three primary focus areas:

Total Compensation & Benefits Management

  • Administration of benefit enrollment and ongoing management
  • Oversight of Total Compensation for all employee tiers

HR Technology and Data Management

  • Administration of HRIS, ensuring data integrity and management
  • Management of HR Dashboard and related reporting functions

Employee Administration

  • Facilitation of employee onboarding, lifecycle management, and ongoing support
  • Leadership in the employee security process and management of all clearance levels

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Understanding of HR design and administrative processes
  • Familiarity with HR compliance, employment standards, and provincial human rights legislation
  • Experience with HRIS (Criterion experience is a plus) and ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for HRIS across all employee groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of HR experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools, along with experience in HR dashboards and metrics
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must meet the criteria to obtain Government of Canada Level II (Secret level) and RCMP enhanced security clearances
