About This Role

As Director, Employee & Workplace Relations, you'll lead a team dedicated to fostering positive and productive relationships within Sheridan College. You'll be responsible for guiding labor relations, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and developing strategies that promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment.

Your Impact

  • Provide strategic direction for all labor and employee relations activities, championing a culture of respect and collaboration across the institution.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, including the Office of Inclusive Communities and the Office of General Counsel, to implement policies and procedures that promote equity and fairness in the workplace.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of HR professionals specializing in employee relations, occupational health and safety, wellness, and workplace abilities.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive programs and initiatives that support employee well-being, enhance productivity, and contribute to Sheridan's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the HR leadership team to set divisional priorities, allocate resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement in HR practices.
