About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Agent to join our team at Fairmont Vancouver Airport. As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests at all times
  • Greet, check-in, respond to requests, and settle accounts while providing exceptional service
  • Assist guests with hotel facilities and provide information in an informative and helpful way
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Take initiative to add a personalized experience for our guests
  • Proudly promote the hotel facilities and look for opportunities to enhance a guest's stay through up-selling
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Service-focused personality is essential; experience is an asset
  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Previous customer-related experience is an asset
  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours - regular coverage of overnight shift
  • Ability to handle cash effectively and with accuracy
  • Prior experience working with Opera Cloud or a related system
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
  • As a condition of your employment, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide appropriate proof of vaccination to the hotel prior to your start date

Additional Information:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid work permit or visa. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization in Canada.
