About the Role

The Technical Assistant plays a vital role in providing administrative support to a team of Property and Casualty insurance brokers. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Master the concept of billing and follow up on activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Respond to various insurance confirmation requests, including certificates, creditors, and landlords.
  • Perform clerical tasks, such as page layout, preparation of presentations, and table of contents.
  • Answer phones and distribute mail in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in computer software, including EPIC, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Issue certificates according to instructions and forward them to the appropriate individuals.
  • Set priorities according to deadlines and respect the pace and needs of other team members.
  • Accomplish accurate and precise work.

Requirements

  • Degree in office automation, secretarial studies, or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and meticulousness.
  • Ability to analyze protection and demonstrate good team spirit.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of EPIC software.
  • Paperless environment.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry.
