Job Title: Mental Health Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at JAZ Community Support Limited. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will work with individuals with mental health disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Implement life skills workshops and provide training to clients
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention, as well as conflict resolution
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social outings

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train
  • Mandt System training, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and initiative
