Job Title: Mental Health Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team at JAZ Community Support Limited. As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work in a community agency setting, providing support and services to clients with diverse needs. You will be responsible for preparing reports, appraising clients' needs, and performing administrative tasks. Additionally, you will implement life skills workshops, provide suicide and crisis intervention, and resolve conflict situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports or case histories
  • Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Implement life skills workshops
  • Housekeeping activities
  • Food preparation
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Implement behavior management programs
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Mandt System training
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
