Bannister Automotive Group Grande Prairie is seeking a qualified Automotive Sub-Prime Finance and Sales Manager to enhance our dedicated team.

Position Overview: Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing and advising on both sub-prime and prime customer credit applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial assessments on potential clients and manage the credit approval workflow.
  • Assist the sales teams across all Grande Prairie locations by recognizing opportunities for cross-selling.
  • Compile credit approval documentation and renew existing credit lines.
  • Handle incoming leads and maintain a systematic follow-up approach.
  • Stay informed about current lender programs and purchasing trends.
  • Evaluate client credit proposals and coordinate the preparation of necessary documents and closings.
  • Oversee credit and loan portfolio management, including monitoring overdue accounts, document discrepancies, collateral valuations, and compliance with covenants.
  • Process loan applications efficiently to meet turnaround time expectations.
  • Provide assistance to billing support personnel.
  • Mitigate payment defaults by supervising the existing credit portfolio to ensure high-quality credit standards.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of loan processes and establish best practices by identifying areas for improvement.
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant Federal and State laws, regulations, and guidelines, particularly those concerning anti-money laundering.
  • Conduct identity verification for customers prior to extending credit.
  • Identify and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in resolving accounts receivable disputes, account reconciliations, and investigating deductions and chargebacks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry.
  • Professional demeanor, friendly attitude, and positive outlook.
