At EllisDon, we're committed to delivering exceptional results in the Life Sciences & Technology Division. We're seeking a skilled Project Scheduler to join our team in Port Colborne, where you'll be responsible for planning and scheduling projects with precision and accuracy.

As a Project Scheduler, you'll be involved in the planning of projects as a member of the Pursuit team, responsible for reading and understanding RFP bid documents, creating schedules in Primavera P6, and ensuring that durations and relationships have been vetted by Superintendents, subtrades, and/or our internal Production Rates database.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times, and project risk items
  • Identifying unplanned events and incorporating their impacts into the schedule
  • Developing as-built versus as-planned schedules to provide a manageable snapshot comparison of the project schedule
  • Working with the project team to create the Baseline Schedule, ensuring it meets or exceeds EllisDon's Best Practices in terms of format, layout, content, and quality
  • Updating the project schedule every other week for each project assigned to you, using information provided by the project team
  • Reporting on the accuracy and reliability of the information provided, and occasionally conducting site visits
  • Providing support to project teams by developing micro work schedules, what-if scenarios, Time-Impact-Analysis (TIA) schedules as required

Requirements include:

  • Eight plus years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Experience working on data centre and pharmaceutical projects
  • Working knowledge of computer scheduling programs, including P6 and MS Projects
  • Ability to manage schedules for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working as part of a construction project team, including Coordinator, QA/QC, Safety, Field Engineer, etc.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, in alignment with EllisDon's Values
