Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Baker Tilly. As a key member of our audit and assurance team, you will be responsible for providing expert financial services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including corporate and personal tax returns, HST returns, and bookkeeping.
  • Manage engagements, including keeping partners informed of progress.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client personnel, coworkers, and all levels of staff and management.
  • Identify and resolve complex and routine accounting, audit, and tax issues.
  • Develop junior staff members by providing technical guidance and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation.
  • 2-3 years post-qualification public accounting experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the CICA Handbook, review procedures, and tax compliance.
  • Ability to provide proactive solutions to clients, partners, and staff on complex assurance issues.
  • Experience in managing and developing staff on engagements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven project management and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Caseware, Jazzit, and Taxprep an asset.
