Job Title: Assistant Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Cook to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Availability: 35 hours per week.
