Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing dynamics, supervising installations, and investigating mechanical failures. They will also be involved in supervising technicians, reviewing designs, and assessing business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
  • Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems.
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies.
  • Develop risk management plans.
  • Leading/instructing groups.
Requirements:
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET).
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • SolidWorks software.
  • AutoCAD.
  • MS Windows.
  • MS Office.
  • MS Excel.
  • Primavera.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. They will be required to work under pressure and have excellent attention to detail.
