Position Overview: We are in search of a motivated individual to take on the role of Property Claims Investigator.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of submitted claims to ascertain coverage and the degree of damage.
- Analyze property estimates and set precise reserves.
- Engage effectively with various stakeholders and facilitate settlement negotiations.
- Spot subrogation possibilities and manage the costs associated with external vendors.
- Assist the national Property Team while adhering to established best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of an AMF License in Personal Lines, with a commitment to obtain the AMF License in Commercial Lines.
- A university degree or equivalent education related to insurance.
- Excellent communication abilities in both English and French.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in property claims handling.
- Solid understanding of the insurance industry and relevant legal stipulations.
- CIP designation is considered advantageous.
