About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pension Benefits Specialist Associate to join our team at Ontario Teachers'. As a key member of our Member Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our members and pensioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and support to members, pensioners, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process pension benefits in accordance with plan terms and applicable legislation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review client files, assess eligible benefit scenarios, and provide counseling and support to members and pensioners.
  • Respond to member inquiries and requests for information, providing clear and concise answers and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Meet with clients in person to discuss their pension benefits and provide personalized support.
  • Interpret and assess client needs, eligibility requirements, and critical issues, making recommendations for resolution.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Relevant university degree and/or client service experience, with a strong understanding of pension benefits and administration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and results.
  • Flexibility, dependability, and a strong work ethic, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
