About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Benefits Specialist Associate to join our team at Ontario Teachers'. As a key member of our Member Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our members while working collaboratively with our hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, pensioners, and other beneficiaries, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process pension benefits in accordance with plan terms and applicable legislation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review client files, assess eligible benefit scenarios, and provide counseling and support to members.
  • Respond to member inquiries via email, mail, and phone, providing clear and concise information and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Meet with clients in person to discuss benefit questions, provide support, and interpret client needs.
  • Interpret and assess client eligibility requirements, critical issues, and reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely processing of benefits.
Requirements
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Relevant university degree and/or client service experience, with a strong understanding of pension benefits and administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
