Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor

Overview
The Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the F&B Multi Operations Manager or Director of Operations in managing designated brands, units, and/or concepts. This position entails overseeing daily operations, guiding associates, and ensuring optimal performance across various units. The role is exempt and typically reports to the F&B Multi Operations Manager or their designee, based on local requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees the daily functions of multiple non-exempt operations associates within a specific group of restaurants, concepts, or stores. Assigns tasks and responsibilities, prepares work schedules, and guarantees adequate shift coverage. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all relevant brand standards, collective bargaining agreements, landlord lease agreements, and operational protocols to enhance brand and labor relations. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation regulations, along with all necessary procedures and protocols. Prepares daily inventory orders, ensures units are adequately stocked, and guides Shift Supervisors and Assistant F&B Operations Managers on ordering processes. Conducts on-the-job training for associates, ensuring all team members receive essential skills training for their roles. Utilizes discretion to address routine inquiries and issues, escalating more complex matters to higher management. Participates in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates and providing recommendations regarding hiring, terminations, promotions, or other employment status changes. Collaborates with the Director of Operations and/or Multi-Unit F&B Manager to develop and implement innovative strategies aimed at increasing revenue. Monitors progress towards operational goals and allocates associates to meet these objectives effectively. Consistently offers support, coaching, and encouragement to direct and indirect reports to help achieve business targets. Leverages the strengths of associates and provides ongoing feedback that aligns with individual development and business goals. Develops and executes plans to motivate and recognize team members for their contributions and performance.Qualifications and Skills
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or unit-level management role within high-volume and/or multi-unit Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations. Strong team management, delegation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledgeable about company policies, products, service standards, quality expectations, equipment, and operational procedures.
