Dual Credit Enhancement Project Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dual Credit Enhancement Project Lead to join our team at School District #6 (Rocky Mountain). The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the enhancement of dual credit programs across the Kootenay Boundary region.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with school districts, post-secondary institutions, and community partners to build shared capacity towards offering more dual credit opportunities.
- Align and standardize dual credit agreements between post-secondary institutions and school districts within the Kootenay Boundary region to establish a cohesive framework for contractual relationships and partnerships.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to promote dual credit offerings to students, educators, parents, and community stakeholders through diverse marketing strategies and platforms.
- Collaborate with post-secondary institutions to identify new course offerings that align with the needs of dual credit students.
- Identify opportunities to scale up dual credit availability in rural and remote school communities and support post-secondary institutions in the process.
- Ensure that new or expanded dual credit offerings are accessible and inclusive for Indigenous students and students with disabilities or diverse abilities.
- Engage with school counsellors and school-based team members to build capacity and understanding of dual credit programming to identify and plan for moving students into the dual credit stream.
- Facilitate youth and parent engagement events in communities to promote dual credit programs.
- Maintain project budget in alignment with project objectives.
- Completion of required reporting on collective program expansion spending, activities, and deliverables, including forecasting future program growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Teaching experience in K-12 education, dual credit programs, and/or post-secondary programs.
- Knowledge of Ministry of Education and Child Care dual credit policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, and integrating local First Nations perspectives in programming is an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's License and use of private vehicle for travel through the region is required.
