Job Title: Labour Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Labour Relations Specialist to join our team at Queen's University. As a Labour Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in negotiating collective agreements, developing and implementing human resources policies, and advising management and employees on labour relations matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement human resources policies and programs to promote positive labour relations
  • Negotiate collective agreements with union representatives to ensure fair and equitable working conditions
  • Advise management and employees on labour relations matters, including grievances and disputes
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to ensure fairness and equity
  • Manage contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in labour relations or a related field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
