Labour Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Labour Relations Specialist to join our team at Queen's University. As a Labour Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in negotiating collective agreements, developing and implementing human resources policies, and advising management and employees on labour relations matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement human resources policies and programs to promote positive labour relations
- Negotiate collective agreements with union representatives to ensure fair and equitable working conditions
- Advise management and employees on labour relations matters, including grievances and disputes
- Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to ensure fairness and equity
- Manage contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- 5+ years of experience in labour relations or a related field
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
