Job Title: Labour Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Labour Relations Specialist to join our team at Queen's University. As a key member of our human resources department, you will play a critical role in maintaining positive labour relations and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement human resources policies and programs to promote positive labour relations
  • Advise managers and employees on labour relations matters, including collective bargaining and dispute resolution
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales
  • Manage contracts and negotiate collective agreements on behalf of the university
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on labour relations matters
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in labour relations or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Judgement and client focus
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and values and ethics
