We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to become a vital member of our Distribution Operations & Enablement team.

The primary objective of this position is to enhance our broker distribution efforts by providing essential contract management and licensing assistance. The Broker Enablement team plays a crucial role in supporting the Broker Distribution teams by managing contracts, commissions, governance, and system maintenance, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery while maximizing our broker partnerships. Overseeing broker contracts and evaluating the licensing of Aviva's broker partners is a fundamental responsibility of this team.

This role is integral to supporting the Broker Distribution teams across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the broker contract lead in drafting, amending, and terminating broker contracts on behalf of the Broker Distribution and Legal teams.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of broker licenses, including new applications, renewals, and terminations for the Atlantic provinces.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of authorized signatories for sponsorship in all other provinces and communicate any changes to regional regulatory bodies.
  • Provide necessary support to the Enablement team, including processing broker code modifications.
  • Contribute to transformation initiatives that impact the Enablement team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A University degree, College Diploma, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and organizational skills.
  • A creative and proactive problem solver with a desire to learn.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, capable of engaging with various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Broker, supplier, or third-party contracts, including familiarity with key terms.
    • Understanding of legal terminology is advantageous.
    • Experience or exposure to the Property & Casualty insurance sector.
    • Proficiency in French is a plus.
