Belcan Corporation is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a contract role within the aerospace sector. This position will report directly to the Program Finance Manager and will focus on delivering comprehensive financial insights for designated programs. The role encompasses the collection, evaluation, and synthesis of financial and cost data from various sources, and will require the presentation of business cases to assist management in informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities for assigned programs.
  2. Identify and communicate potential financial risks and opportunities.
  3. Analyze results by program; perform variance analyses against plans and forecasts.
  4. Prepare and present monthly program reviews to program management.
  5. Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tasks.
  6. Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
  7. Ensure accurate revenue recognition and develop EAC (estimate at completion) models in accordance with standards.
  8. Establish and monitor standard costs and BOMs for assigned programs, ensuring cost integrity and identifying any anomalies.
  9. Provide financial analysis and support for make/buy decisions.
  10. Assist in estimating and negotiating for new business proposals and analyses during program initiation.
  11. Create business case presentations utilizing NPV, IRR, and MIRR methodologies to support strategic product initiatives.
  12. Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and cost reduction strategies.
  13. Conduct warranty analysis, prepare warranty reserves, and maintain warranty schedules for programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a financial analyst or in a similar role, ideally within a multi-currency aerospace context.
  2. Accounting designation or nearing completion of CPA program.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V-Lookups; familiarity with other BI tools is advantageous.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  6. Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  7. Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
  8. Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
