About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our Minerals and Metals Business line, you will be responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain professionals in negotiating the best value for Ausenco and our clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of Buyers, Expeditors, and Contract Administrators in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Providing strategic analysis and decision-making support to project execution plans.
  • Coaching and mentoring project procurement and contracts personnel in negotiation and contract management.
  • Working closely with Project Management, Safety, Quality, Engineering, Construction, and Cost Control teams to ensure best-in-class service from vendors.
  • Evaluating and monitoring purchase orders and contracts performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Managing procurement and contracting activities in EPC and EPCM environments.
  • Delegating responsibilities and assignments to team members and ensuring staffing requirements are met.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in procurement and contracts management, preferably with 15+ years of experience in a project environment. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of professionalism, and customer service skills. Additionally, you should have:

  • Diploma or degree in a business or technical field.
  • SCMP or MCIPS designation(s) would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project or ERP systems like SmartPlant Materials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to change.

Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
