We are in search of a dynamic Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to spearhead our strategic financial initiatives. This role places you at the helm of corporate financial planning, where you will oversee both immediate and long-term budgeting, capital allocation, and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader, passionate about cultivating a culture of financial excellence and teamwork, while promoting the use of advanced analytical tools and financial modeling techniques to enhance strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include driving continuous improvement within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) department, identifying opportunities to streamline budgeting processes, enhance financial performance, and deliver insightful analyses that align with the organization's goals. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will manage corporate financial planning, budget evaluations, and special projects, providing impactful financial analyses and reports that facilitate informed business decisions.

As the leader of a team of Financial Analysts, you will ensure the prompt and precise delivery of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Experience in Finance Transformation will be particularly advantageous, as you will lead strategic finance transformation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, automating processes, and aligning financial strategies with organizational objectives.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Over 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and budgeting, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  2. Possession of a CPA designation and a university degree in business, finance, or economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. In-depth knowledge of corporate financial management, budgeting, and analytical practices.
  4. Familiarity with accepted accounting principles, standards, and procedures, including reporting and costing methodologies.
  5. Proficiency in developing financial models, scenarios, and driver-based analyses.
  6. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team.
  7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to senior management and Board members.
  8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, consult and negotiate with clients, and represent the department in various forums.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
As a condition of employment, candidates must acquire and maintain the necessary Police Security Clearance, which is facilitated by our law enforcement partners. Candidates must have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years and must be either Canadian Permanent Residents or Citizens.
