We are seeking a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division. This pivotal role reports directly to the VP of Finance and is available for candidates across Canada and the United States.

Who You Are:
  • A seasoned financial executive with over 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Possess a robust understanding of SaaS business frameworks and financial forecasting methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing high-achieving teams.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
  • A strong advocate for data-driven decision-making and strategic insights.
  • Preferred qualifications include a CPA or CFA designation.
Team Responsibilities:

The Financial Planning & Analysis team is dedicated to enhancing stakeholder and shareholder value by crafting the operational and financial strategies necessary to meet our organizational objectives. In this role, you will be instrumental in formulating financial strategies, analyzing data, and delivering insights to facilitate strategic decision-making throughout the company. You will oversee the FP&A Business Partnerships team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Partnership & Cost Management:
    • Collaborate with business leaders to uncover cost-saving opportunities and enhance financial performance.
    • Oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting process, focusing on operational expenses, cash flow, and balance sheet management.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and risks, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling & Reporting:
    • Create and maintain intricate financial models adaptable for external stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of financial metrics.
    • Guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, effectively communicating results to stakeholders.
    • Lead the FP&A Business Partnerships team in upholding strong data governance and reporting standards.
  • Strategic Investments & Analysis:
    • Direct the assessment of potential investments and acquisitions, conducting financial modeling and scenario analyses.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop new metrics to monitor progress towards strategic objectives.
    • Provide the leadership team with data-driven insights to guide strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within FP&A.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey financial information to a diverse audience.
  • Proven track record in cost management and headcount planning initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining financial models for external financial audiences, such as potential investors or lenders.
