Position Title: Data Analyst

Department: Business Analytics

Reports to: Senior Business Analyst

Position Overview:

The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the organization by developing and delivering insightful data that addresses business inquiries and resolves challenges. This data will be instrumental in identifying trends and insights within the company, presented in user-friendly formats for future analysis. The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams, as well as other internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and acting as a steward for the organization's data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gather reporting requirements from internal stakeholders
  2. Prepare and disseminate scheduled reports from various data sources
  3. Ensure the accuracy of key data metrics and reports
  4. Create dashboards to monitor and evaluate performance
  5. Oversee and maintain Power BI reporting tools
  6. Analyze current data sets to identify trends and seek additional data points as necessary
  7. Assist internal stakeholders in developing business cases
  8. Collaborate across departments to fully grasp business objectives and apply analytics to support projects, ensuring effective problem-solving and issue resolution
  9. Drive process enhancements through new analytical methods and procedures, providing robust recommendations
  10. Manage data collection and serve as a point of contact for inquiries from various departments
  11. Administer CRM software
  12. Analyze reports and implement amendments for report enhancement
  13. Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed

Qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary education, undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or equivalent experience is preferred
  2. 2-3 years of experience in a data analysis role
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel
  4. Intermediate to advanced experience with Power BI
  5. Strong analytical skills, with experience in reporting, documentation, and problem-solving
  6. Ability to present information in user-friendly formats
  7. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset
  8. Experience in process and procedure documentation is beneficial
  9. Familiarity with Sage X3 is advantageous
  10. Experience in building reports with Sage Enterprise Intelligence (SEI) is a plus
  11. Knowledge of Spiro is a benefit

Working Environment:

  1. Flexible work-from-home or hybrid options available
