We're seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to drive profitable commercial growth, represent Westland to clients and partners, and lead the execution of our Commercial business plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of commercial lines leaders across multiple offices, ensuring outstanding performance and oversight.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and national markets and external carrier partners.
  • Oversee business development, sales execution, client service, and employee engagement and retention.
  • Support and integrate new acquisitions, retaining critical staff and revenue.
  • Act as the executive sponsor for the region's largest clients, ensuring top-tier support and performance.
  • Lead strategic account reviews for high-premium accounts, expanding client engagement.
  • Collaborate with other business unit leaders to deliver on corporate initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, amplifying successes and addressing deficiencies.
  • Develop and execute the annual business plan for the Commercial segment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lines.
  • A CIP designation and eligibility for insurance licensing (assets).
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
  • A proven track record of achieving organizational objectives in sales and service through effective leadership.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions (an asset).
  • A Level 3 General Insurance License (preferred).
  • Industry designations such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, or FCIP (preferred).
