Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead our Ad Formats team at Reddit Inc. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying scalable and efficient ad formats that meet the needs of our advertisers and users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new ad formats and infrastructure to enhance user experience and improve advertiser ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and data science, to identify opportunities for ad format innovation and improvement.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient ad serving and ranking algorithms to improve ad relevance and user engagement.
  • Work with our data science team to develop and deploy A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to measure the impact of ad format changes on user behavior and advertiser outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure the success of the team.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in ad technology and infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of ad serving, ranking, and measurement technologies, including ad exchanges, demand-side platforms, and supply-side platforms.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
