Job Description

Reddit is a community-driven platform that relies on its users to create and share content. As a Principal Software Engineer, Ads Formats, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience and aligning it with advertisers' marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from concept to rollout, ensuring high-quality and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance value for advertisers by understanding pre-click and post-click enhancements.
  • Enhance infrastructure to make format enhancements faster and increase portability across placements.
  • Bring in ideas from across the industry to enhance the Ad product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to discover and build new Ad functionality and products.
  • Advise on Ad review and brand safety enhancements.
  • Mentor staff engineers and leaders, share industry knowledge, and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working across various components in the ads system.
  • Experience working on a product with consumer usage.
  • Familiarity with Ads privacy regulations.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-impact ads products.
  • Strong ability to deliver through others as well as doing hands-on work.
  • An adept communicator and experience communicating with executives.
