As a Package Consultant at IBM, you will engage in critical company initiatives. In this position, you will be part of our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we provide extensive technical and industry expertise to a diverse array of public and private sector clients globally. These centers equip our clients with localized skills and technical know-how to foster innovation and the adoption of cutting-edge technology.

Your strong business background, coupled with hands-on consulting experience and SAP S4HANA/ECC 6.0 implementation expertise in HR (Payroll), will be invaluable. Your duties will encompass:

  1. Conducting Fit/Gap analysis and business/process modeling
  2. Gathering business/application requirements
  3. Designing business processes based on established industry standards
  4. Configuring and testing SAP HR Payroll software
  5. Leading the development of functional and systems specifications
  6. Creating and maintaining necessary documentation
  7. Training client team members
  8. Providing ongoing support (including troubleshooting, expertise, minor enhancements, monitoring, and testing) to ensure the efficient operation of SAP payroll applications.
  9. Employing replicable problem-solving methodologies to address issues and deliver solutions
  10. Exhibiting critical and creative thinking focused on solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  1. Strong capability to comprehend and analyze HR management processes
  2. Excellent interpersonal abilities
  3. Adaptability to dynamic environments and the capacity to evaluate complex challenges
  4. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  5. Project management experience is advantageous
  6. Prior consulting experience is beneficial
  7. Role location flexibility is required.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on configuration experience with SAP HCM Payroll
  2. Experience with year-end reporting and reconciliation (T4)
  3. Experience in testing annual HR support pack upgrades and related defect corrections

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on configuration experience with SAP HCM Canadian Payroll
  2. Completion of at least 3 full life cycle implementations of SAP
  3. PCP certification from the Canadian Payroll Association
  4. Successful completion of the HR400 SAP ERP HCM Payroll Configuration course
  5. Experience in environments with multiple collective agreements
  6. Eligibility for Canadian Reliability Clearance.

Location Statement

Must possess the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
