Overview

As a Level Designer at Ubisoft, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and immersive game environments that transport players to new and exciting worlds. Your expertise in game design and development will help shape the player's experience, ensuring a rich and memorable adventure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Create Levels

Develop and document levels that align with the artistic, creative, and design visions of the game. Utilize integration tools to craft immersive and interactive gaming spaces that draw players in.

Environment Layout and Design

Lay out detailed environments, including settlements, non-player characters, encounters, events, and other features that advance the game's narrative.

Balance and Optimization

Balance artistic aspects with technical constraints, ensuring a seamless player experience.

Collaboration and Feedback

Work closely with cross-functional teams, incorporating feedback from play testers and iterating on designs to optimize the player experience.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience

A college diploma in Game Design or equivalent, with at least 7 years of experience in video game level design or related fields.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in game engines (e.g., Photoshop) and 3D software (e.g., 3DS Max, Maya, or Sketchup).

Soft Skills

Exceptional collaboration, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to feedback and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
