We are currently seeking a dedicated CAD Designer to become a vital part of our Engineering and Design team within the Delta Storage Products division. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in designing tailored racking components and systems, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a relevant post-secondary diploma in Computer Aided Design.

Key Responsibilities:

As a CAD Designer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating precise drawings and layouts for our clientele.
  • Conducting onsite inspections of custom-designed racking systems.
  • Collaborating closely with Engineering and Installation teams to identify and resolve design challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards throughout the design process.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary diploma in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Drafting from an accredited institution.
  • Over 2 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD for designing selective, push-back, and drive-in racking systems.
  • Experience in customizing racking components to suit various systems.
  • Familiarity with forklift operations as they pertain to wire guidance systems and custom racking interfaces.
  • Experience in inspecting custom-designed racking systems under the supervision of a BC-registered Structural Engineer.
  • Knowledge of torque specifications, embedment, and clearance issues related to engineering requirements.
  • Proficient in using a micrometer for assessing and documenting existing racking systems.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for travel within BC.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
