Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Seasonal Equipment Operator to join our team at Webber. As a Seasonal Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets through the operation and use of heavy equipment, particularly during seasonal needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Removal of snow and ice by using snow removal and/or sanding equipment, including salting and other seasonal maintenance on roads, bridges, etc.
  • Maintenance and repair of highway and other surfaces, including signs, guardrails, fence, lighting, potholes, striping, adding or replacing reflectors, litter and debris removal
  • Traffic control setup and removal
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites
  • Required to be available for emergency response rotations as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years related work experience in related construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, operating equipment through use of DZ license
  • Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license and acceptable driving record / AZ license a plus

Work Environment

The employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; fume or airborne particles. Frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, frequent exposure to insects and infrequent exposure to reptiles/rodents, the noise level in the work environment usually moderate but on occasion can be more than moderate.
