As a Mechanical and Electrical Coordinator, your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing mechanical, electrical, and IT components to ensure adherence to specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards.
  • Planning, directing, and managing on-site activities to align with specifications, requirements, and codes.
  • Synchronizing all pertinent drawings and information to prevent conflicts.
  • Providing support during the functional testing of all building systems.
  • Assisting project managers, superintendents, and estimators in maintaining schedules, addressing mechanical and electrical inquiries, reviewing shop drawings, and fulfilling project completion criteria.
  • Engaging in the formulation of mechanical and electrical timelines, coordinating with the primary project schedule, monitoring installation progress on-site, and proactively identifying tasks that may exceed projected completion dates.
  • Contributing to the development of the commissioning schedule.
  • Maintaining continuous communication with mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to deadlines.
  • Participating in the creation of mechanical and electrical scopes of work and bid packages by evaluating specifications, drawings, estimates, budgets, and relevant subcontractor agreements.

Does this role align with your skills?

  • You possess a degree in construction and ideally have two years of experience in mechanical and electrical roles within the construction sector or a comparable combination of technical training and experience.
  • You have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
  • You are capable of proactively identifying and documenting issues and conflicts, managing them effectively, and resolving them efficiently.
