Are you ready to take on a leadership role? The Bilingual Project Leader (French/English) is a pivotal position within the Decommissioning division, responsible for overseeing complex projects at a nuclear facility. This role entails meticulous planning, management, and execution of decommissioning initiatives, ensuring they meet the expectations of clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of medium-risk decommissioning projects, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards.
  • Engage in project planning, budgeting, and resource management through collaboration with internal stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.
  • Assemble and lead a project team, including Project Control Coordinators, to accurately estimate project costs based on detailed work package breakdowns.
  • Develop statements of work and procurement packages to solicit proposals from contractors.
  • Evaluate contractor proposals, award contracts, and manage ongoing contract performance.
  • Set and monitor project performance objectives, ensuring adherence to quality, scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Establish and manage project scope while identifying and mitigating risks that could impact project delivery.
  • Assist in budget and schedule management, approving changes within established project management guidelines.
  • Support project performance reporting to clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the field execution of projects, providing support to site supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, or a Project Management Professional certification.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the nuclear sector, particularly in waste management and decommissioning.
  • Proficient in all phases of project lifecycle management, including project definition, design, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying project management principles across various domains.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and federal licensing requirements relevant to nuclear projects.
  • Ability to develop and execute project plans and schedules effectively.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Knowledge of business management principles, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong technical writing abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as necessary to support project needs.

Eligibility for security clearance is required, with a minimum of three years of verifiable history in relevant jurisdictions.
