Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and enhance process and equipment reliability by working in tandem with operational and maintenance staff.
- Provide engineering support and leadership in maintenance activities to foster reliability.
- Act as a primary point of contact for reliability initiatives by assessing equipment performance and conducting failure analysis.
- Evaluate current preventive maintenance strategies for effectiveness and suggest necessary modifications to boost asset reliability.
- Lead efforts to sustain and enhance the reliability of plant machinery and operational processes.
- Develop, manage, and optimize equipment maintenance programs, including condition monitoring and preventive maintenance.
- Oversee assigned outage projects and related tasks.
- Investigate equipment failures using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to avert future issues.
- Champion the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process within the department.
- Incorporate best practices in reliability-centered maintenance, risk assessments, and condition monitoring into daily operations.
- Provide technical guidance on the evaluation and adoption of new maintenance technologies and ensure effective use of existing tools.
- Serve as a resource for operational and maintenance teams to enhance their understanding of maintenance processes and strategies.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement across various operational facets, including equipment, safety, and quality.
- Formulate strategies for optimization based on performance metrics and systems analysis.
- Support the execution of reliability enhancement projects.
- Monitor and report on cost savings achieved through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development of work scopes for shutdowns and provide technical support during critical maintenance activities.

The compensation for this role ranges from CAN $88,000 to $107,000 annually, based on education and experience.
