About the Role

The University of Ottawa is seeking a dynamic and experienced Advertising and Marketing Communications Instructor to join our esteemed faculty. This part-time position offers an opportunity to share your expertise in the ever-evolving world of advertising and sales promotion.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate discussions on advertising theory and practice within the context of integrated marketing communications.
  • Guide students in developing strategic and tactical approaches to creative and media decisions in advertising campaigns.
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students, fostering their growth as future marketing professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master's degree (MBA or PhD preferred) in Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate recent professional experience in advertising, sales promotion, or integrated marketing communications.
  • Exhibit proven university-level teaching experience, ideally in the area of advertising and marketing communications.
  • Possess a strong understanding of both digital and non-digital advertising and promotional strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with online learning platforms and technologies.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
