Overview:

Under the guidance of the Marketing Director, the Advertising Manager is tasked with executing all traditional and digital marketing strategies and initiatives. This role encompasses planning, coordination, execution, tracking, reporting, and analytics. The incumbent will oversee a comprehensive production schedule focusing on direct mail, radio, and various print communications throughout all production phases. Additionally, the individual will manage email marketing projects from initial discovery and design to development and execution. A robust understanding of the digital landscape, internet technologies (HTML, CSS), and online marketing principles is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

ADVERTISING MANAGEMENT

  • Oversees marketing campaign components from inception to execution. Manages the creation of print advertising materials such as postcards, brochures, event collateral, self-mailers, premium invitations, posters, backlit displays, and large format signage.
  • Coordinates with external agencies on all facets of media planning and purchasing, creative development, and execution.
  • Tracks and manages budgets, accruals, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Engages with external account executives to explore advertising opportunities. Continuously monitors and adjusts strategies in response to local competition.
  • Responsible for the internal coordination of all marketing communication outputs.
  • Identifies optimal media usage across various platforms, including print, broadcast, digital, and out-of-home (OOH) advertising.
  • Establishes metrics for evaluation and manages cost-benefit analyses and return on investment. Reports findings to the Director and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with creative teams and vendors to ensure ongoing improvement and optimal production solutions for both new and existing materials and concepts.
  • Ensures brand consistency across all media formats and adheres to regulatory standards.
  • Develops specifications for departmental communication strategies.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines while proactively communicating with stakeholders if timelines cannot be achieved.
  • Participates in marketing brainstorming sessions and contributes valuable insights on marketing strategies.
  • Oversees team member development, including accountability, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Exhibits conduct in accordance with all applicable regulations.

DIGITAL MARKETING

  • Responsible for testing across various platforms and designs, implementing best practices for templates, and staying updated on email and digital marketing trends.
  • Provides strategic marketing insights and recommendations to enhance customer acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborates with the database marketing team to ensure project timelines are adhered to.
  • Conducts audits of content strategies and offers recommendations for enhancement.
  • Reviews monthly content calendars for accuracy and relevance.
  • Maintains brand standards and strategies in social media initiatives.
  • Captures content during events such as concerts, sweepstakes, tournaments, or promotional activities.
  • Works directly with agencies to plan content creation and ensure the development of marketing assets.
  • Assists with influencer marketing programs as needed.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Marketing/Advertising, preferably within an agency setting or a similar industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, and Google DoubleClick ad server.
  • Ability to obtain necessary registrations as required by regulatory bodies.
SKILLS
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of media buying practices in Ontario and Canada.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others diplomatically.

  • Fluency in both English and Canadian French (written and oral) is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • The working conditions are typical of an indoor, climate-controlled office environment. Exposure to casino-related factors such as noise, large crowds, and high-pressure situations is expected. Must be able to stand for extended periods and navigate throughout the Casino and/or Hotel areas.

The Casino environment is fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. Exposure to various environmental factors, including excessive noise and constant interaction with the public, is anticipated.
