We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Concrete Forms Specialist to join our team at EllisDon Forming Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of concrete forming projects.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct concrete forms.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet project requirements.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites to meet project deadlines and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
As a Carpenter - Concrete Forms Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and maintain a high level of physical fitness.
Requirements- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
